The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has limited funds available for scholarships to help offset the cost incurred for attending this event. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a waived registration fee.* Those awarded scholarships will be responsible for all travel, housing and meals not covered by the gathering, as well as any additional pre-gathering fees.
These funds are limited and will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. The priority deadline for applications is March 31. For applications received by the priority deadline, applicants will be notified no later than April 17. We will continue to award scholarships after that time if funds remain.
These scholarships are intended especially for those individuals who are in financial need whose congregations or ministry settings would not be able to offer subsidy assistance. Click here for the Scholarship Application form. Completed forms must be emailed to RosteredGathering@elca.org and to your synod bishop for acknowledgment.
If you are applying for a scholarship, do not register using the public link on the Rostered Ministers Gathering page.
If awarded a scholarship, you will receive an email that includes a special link for registration.
* You will be responsible for registering using that link before the early registration period ends on March 31. Scholarship recipients who do not register before the early registration period ends will be required to pay the additional $50 registration cost or will forfeit their scholarship.
