Augustana College, Sioux falls, South DakotaAugustana College, founded in 1860, is a selective, private, residential, comprehensive college (liberal arts and professional) of the Evangelical Augustana CollegeLutheran Church in America. As a community we are committed to five core values: Christian, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community, and Service.

The College is located on a beautiful, tree-lined campus which covers 100 acres in central Sioux Falls, a city of 144,000. Augustana is the largest private college in South Dakota with 1,684 full-time undergraduates and a total enrollment of 1,768.

The College offers over 50 majors and pre-professional specializations as well as extensive opportunities for study abroad, internships, and undergraduate research. Three majors were added in the fall of 2006, Sign Language Interpreting, Sports Management, and Sacred Music. Augustana students are inspired by a faculty committed to both teaching and scholarship.

While students are certainly engaged in the academic program, they are also encouraged to pursue their interests outside of the classroom. They celebrate a myriad of opportunities including involvement in NCAA Division II athletics, outstanding music programs, theatre, campus ministry, service learning, student leadership, and more.
