Bold Women's Day
Lutheran women who act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ are everywhere and come from all walks of life. Some are professionals with careers. Some are homemakers and caregivers. Most volunteer many hours for both their church and community. Some are bold in conspicuous and visible ways while others are bold in quiet yet strong ways.
Bold Women’s Day celebrates all the Lutheran women and the many and diverse ways in which we act boldly on our faith in Jesus Christ. You — individually and collectively in your congregation — are invited to celebrate Bold Women’s Day, which will take place on February 22, 2009. Select from ideas offered here or create your own unique ways to honor the bold women of your life.
- Look through the Ideas for Celebrating Bold Women's Day, where you'll find a host of ideas for observing this day either as a group or as an individual.
- We have a Litany for Bold Women's Day that can be used in Sunday worship or at any gathering of your women's group.
- Are there women whom you would like to recognize for how they have boldly acted on and lived their faith? Download these certificates and present one to each of them on Bold Women's Day or at any other appropriate gathering.
