Audiovisual Resources from the Archives

The ELCA's predecessor bodies and inter-Lutheran agencies embraced film technology in the late 1940s in order to promote their mission fields, raise money for post-WWII relief work, and to inspire the youth of the church. By the late 1950s, this work had expanded to television with such series as Light Time and Davey and Goliath.

A number of these films are available on the ELCA Archives youtube channel and on the ELCA youtube channel, under ELCA Archives playlist. A few of these films are embedded on the following pages.
