Gathering Expedition is a series of weekend retreats designed for 8th-12th grade youth and the adults who walk alongside them. Created with volunteer leaders in mind, it offers a meaningful opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life and dive deeper into questions of faith, purpose and identity with young people.
Over the course of the weekend, young people will worship, serve, laugh and connect. They'll explore where God might be calling them, wrestle with big questions and build lasting bonds with those around them. There will also be opportunities for adults to connect, share resources and connect with the ELCA Youth Ministry and Gathering teams.
Each Gathering Expedition is regionally based, making travel simpler and more accessible. Whether your group has attended the ELCA Youth Gathering before or is just beginning to imagine what’s possible, this experience stands on its own — helping keep youth ministry in motion and faith formation alive between the big events.
