Justice & Peace
 |
Lutherans aren’t the kind of folks who simply talk about their beliefs -- we put them into action!
|
In the ELCA, when a person affirms her baptism, she accepts a calling “…to serve all people following the example of Jesus, and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth.” (
Evangelical Lutheran Worship, Affirmation of Baptism, p. 237) That’s a BIG calling and an urgent calling!
In the four categories below, you will find a wealth of program and educational resources, information about project opportunities and ministry initiatives, and contacts for networking and collaboration. All of them are provided so that young people, their companions and allies, and the whole church can more fully live out that BIG calling. It’s a calling to enter into, and to live out, God’s work with our hands!
