Candidates approved for ordination, consecration or commissioning, reinstatement candidates and candidates from other church bodies will send ELCA Candidate Assignment forms as attachments to an e-mail to be sent to assignment@elca.org and submit the Rostered Leader Profile (RLP) to the Mobility Database System according to the schedule below. For the forms listed on this page, click here.

Dates for June 2012 Assignment
March 15, 2012			Required Candidate Assignment Forms Due - (Note: These forms should be submitted even if the candidate has not yet had their approval meeting by March 15th but is intending to be approved by the April 27th deadline for approvals.) Candidate Assignment Forms A, B and R (R - if restricting) Candidate is to send an e-mail with these forms attached to assignment@elca.org no later than March 15th. Candidates will not be considered for assignment without these forms sent. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you once your e-mail is successfully received. Candidate RLP (Rostered Leader Profile) Candidate should submit this as directed on the form itself by clicking the "Submit" button by this date. This form goes directly to the Mobility Database System. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you once your form is successfully received. *****Please note that if you are using a Mac computer, you should be able to successfully download the Formatta Filler Program to your computer and complete the form (see right-hand tool bar for instructions). You will not, however, be able to submit the RLP successfully. Please complete the submission process on a Windows PC.*****

Form D deadline for ELCA Seminaries All Form Ds are to be e-mailed by the seminaries to assignment@elca.org by this date. Form E deadline for Candidacy Committees/Synods All Form Es are to be submitted electronically to the candidacy portal by this date.
May 4, 2012			Final Deadline for updates or withdrawal from assignment Updated paperwork is accepted from those whose restriction requests were denied. Request to withdraw from assignment should be e-mailed to assignment@elca.org. If a candidate is denied a restriction request and we do not receive an update Form B and request to stay in assignment, the candidate will be withdrawn from assignment.

This requires written request from the candidate as well as written consent from the bishop of the synod assigned. Both request and consent should be e-mailed to assignment@elca.org. Please reference the section on Reassignment here on our website. Both of these are needed in order to be in the assignment process.
