When you give to ELCA World Hunger, where do your gifts go? These personal stories represent the work of the ELCA in combating hunger in the United States and throughout the world. This work is carried out through grants,
companion church relationships, and international organizations like
Lutheran World Relief and
the Lutheran World Federation.

Kenya
It had been the worst drought anyone in the area could remember. The wells and streams had run dry. The crops were long gone and even the goats were having a hard time finding enough to eat.

Cambodia
The people of Preah Khae village used to look up at the stream sparkling on the side of their mountain with envy. Their only water source was several kilometers away, and it took hours out of every day to go back and forth. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they could use the water from the stream?
