ELCA Global Mission

How ELCA members are transformed by the global body of Christ

Through the churchwide Global Mission unit, the ELCA engages in mission outside the United States and the Caribbean, and churches in other countries engage in mission to the ELCA.

Thousands of ELCA members are also engaged in global mission through their congregations and synods, visiting one another, paying for the roofs of new church buildings, inviting choirs to visit, making quilts and more.

The work of the ELCA Global Mission Unit complements this activity by helping the ELCA live out a long-term commitment to common mission with our companions.
