Position Description
The Director, Major Gifts, will oversee the process of gathering major gifts on behalf of the churchwide ministries; act as liaison between gift planners and appeal directors to identify prospective donors; and serve as relationship coordinator for external members of ELCA advisory boards. Requirements include but are not limited to: Five years' experience managing processes related to annual fund and/or major gift development. Strong communication skills including a willingness to work collaboratively with a variety of groups. Position Description
The Director, Planned Gifts, will oversee the planned giving program of the ELCA Foundation. Required qualifications: Five years professional experience in related field, such as estate law, financial planning, or weatlth management. Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental dimensions of financial and estate planning and deferred giving. Demonstrated capacity to review legal documents from donors, lawyers, and executors to identify essential criteria related to accepting and planning deferred gifts. Demonstrated ability to relate well to, and inspire the confidence of, donors, their families, and their legal and financial advisors. PROGRAM DIRECTOR FOR DISABILITY MINISTRIES AND SUPPORT OF LAY ROSTERED LEADERS
CONGREGATIONAL AND SYNODICAL MISSION

Position Description
The Program Director for Disability Ministries and Support of Lay Rostered Leaders will provide staff support for the continued development of networks for all of the disability ministries of the ELCA. This includes braille and large print, deaf, mental and physical abilities. Partners with the Youth Gathering and other churchwide staff to plan and implement the DAYLE (Differently Abled Youth Leadership Event). Encumbent will also work to strengthen and develop partnerships with ecumenical and private network for disability ministries in order to resource and support congregations and synods. The program director will provide support, guidance and direction for the Word and Service Rostered Leaders in the ELCA. The incumbent will collaborate with representatives of these rosters to facilitate and implement ELCA Church Council recommentations. Serves on the Leadership Team of CSM. Chicago-based position. 

COORDINATOR FOR MISSIONAL LEADERSHIP - REGION 1

Position Description
The Coordinator for Missional Leadership serves the mission of the synodical and churchwide expressions of the ELCA in Region 1. Responsibilities are assigned by the Congregational & Synodical Mission unit in consultation with the regional council. As coordinator for missional leadership for Region 1, the incumbent coordinates and facilitates functions of the region and promotes effective communication between region and the churchwide organization. Responsbilities for this position includes work with candidacy, mobility, the assignment process, campus ministry, leadership support and development. Work requires considerable knowledge of the synod and regional structures and insititutions of this church and the ability to work collaboratively with key partners, including synod bishops, vice-presidents and their candidacy committees, seminaries and churchwide partners. Position is based in Seattle, WA.

The Manager for Accounting oversees accounting operations for general, programmatic, endowment and deferred gift activities. Supervising a General Accounting team of eight professionals, this position leads general ledger closing, financial reporting and endowment/deferred gift administration functions. Prior supervisory and not-for-profit experience are required, including proficiency with team-building, general ledger systems and financial reporting.
