The Director, Major Gifts, will oversee the process of gathering major gifts on behalf of the churchwide ministries; act as liaison between gift planners and appeal directors to identify prospective donors; and serve as relationship coordinator for external members of ELCA advisory boards. The Director, Planned Gifts, will oversee the planned giving program of the ELCA Foundation. Required qualifications: Five years professional experience in related field, such as estate law, financial planning, or weatlth management. Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental dimensions of financial and estate planning and deferred giving. Demonstrated capacity to review legal documents from donors, lawyers, and executors to identify essential criteria related to accepting and planning deferred gifts. Demonstrated ability to relate well to, and inspire the confidence of, donors, their families, and their legal and financial advisors. PROGRAM DIRECTOR FOR DISABILITY MINISTRIES AND SUPPORT OF LAY ROSTERED LEADERS
CONGREGATIONAL AND SYNODICAL MISSION

The Program Director for Disability Ministries and Support of Lay Rostered Leaders will provide staff support for the continued development of networks for all of the disability ministries of the ELCA. This includes braille and large print, deaf, mental and physical abilities. Partners with the Youth Gathering and other churchwide staff to plan and implement the DAYLE (Differently Abled Youth Leadership Event). Encumbent will also work to strengthen and develop partnerships with ecumenical and private network for disability ministries in order to resource and support congregations and synods. The program director will provide support, guidance and direction for the Word and Service Rostered Leaders in the ELCA. COORDINATOR FOR MISSIONAL LEADERSHIP - REGION 1
