ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark S. Hanson hosted an online town hall forum for ELCA members on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009.

More than 2,200 visitors watched the live webcast from across the United States and in seven other countries. The live audience included ELCA members and leaders from the Metro Chicago and Northern Illinois Synods.

Thank you to all who shared questions with the presiding bishop in person and via live chat.

Because of the volume of questions, the presiding bishop did not address every question submitted, but his staff made a concerted effort to share a representative sample of all questions posted. Questions were not accepted in advance, by phone or by e-mail. Every question posted to the online chat was viewable by chat participants.
