Worship. Grow. Connect. Join leaders from across this church for the first-ever Rostered Ministers Gathering of the ELCA.
Understanding the financial realities of ministry and of an event of this nature, the ELCA has limited funds available for scholarships to help in off-setting the cost incurred by attending this event. This is intended especially for those individuals who are in financial need and whose congregations or ministry settings otherwise would not be able to offer subsidy assistance. Each scholarship application must be signed by the applicant and their synod bishop and returned before on the deadline (March 8). These funds are limited and will be first come first served, please contact us if there are any other questions.
The ELCA Bureau for Federal Chaplaincy Ministries requires all chaplains to attend the annual ecclesiastical professional development training in order to remain in good standing for endorsement unless prevented by military deployment or organizational mission requirements. This annual chaplain training is known as the Chaplain Education and Training Event. It provides a time for our military (both active duty and reserves), Veterans Affairs and Bureau of Prison chaplains a time for worship, spiritual renewal, continuing education, best practices, networking and fellowship. This training also allows our chaplains to maintain the highest level of proficiency in pastoral care ministry.
