ELCA CONGREGATIONS FEATURED FOR CHRISTMAS TV

"Welcome in the Child," a special Christmas Eve worship program, has
been produced by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for the
National Council of Churches of Christ. The program, offered by
ABC-TV to local affiliate stations on Dec. 24, features Antioch
Lutheran, Christ Lutheran and Truth Lutheran Churches. "It's
Christmas Eve and three Detroit-area congregations, representing
different cultures and perspectives, will gather together as one
community. The churches will put together a Christmas Eve service of
remembrance and anticipation, looking back at the birth of Christ
and celebrating the lives of children in whom Christ's message of
love, peace and unity lives on to proclaim joy to the world," said
John L. Peterson, ELCA director for public media ministry. The
program features a children's procession, stories and songs.
