CHICAGO (ELCA) -- Draft proposals for possible changes in governance
of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) were presented Oct.
2 to ELCA leaders by David D. Swartling, ELCA secretary. Swartling also
presented the leaders with current statistics about the denomination.
