CHICAGO (ELCA) -- The Rev. Mark S. Hanson, presiding bishop of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), said his appointment to a
presidential advisory committee strongly affirms the involvement of ELCA
members "in serving our neighbors."
