CHICAGO (ELCA) -- Richard L. McAuliffe, former treasurer of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and president and
executive director of the ELCA Mission Investment Fund, died April 24 in
Downer's Grove, Ill. McAuliffe, 75, was also a leader in the Chicago
banking industry prior to joining the ELCA churchwide organization.
