CHICAGO (ELCA) -- Responding to the May 1 news of Osama bin Laden's
death, the Rev. Mark S. Hanson, presiding bishop of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), said bin Laden's death "is an occasion
for solemn remembrance."
