The ELCA has signed with Lightworks Program Distribution (LPD), a division of Faith & Values Media, to represent the "Davey and Goliath" property for broadcast to U.S. stations, the international broadcast market and other merchandising and licensing opportunities. ELCA Communication Services just completed a project to refurbish, restore and digitally enhance the classic Davey and Goliath episodes.
"This is a great relationship because of our long standing involvement with Faith & Values Media and the experience of the distribution team, headed by David Dreilinger, president and chief executive officer, Lightworks Enterprises Inc.," said Ava O. Martin, director for public media, ELCA Communication Services. LPD will highlight Davey and Goliath at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) convention in Las Vegas, Jan. 24-26, 2006, and the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) convention in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Feb. 17-22, 2006.
