The Rev. Donald M. Hallberg, president for the Foundation of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and executive
director for ELCA Development Services, is the 2006 recipient of
the Association of Lutheran Development Executives (ALDE)
Outstanding Executive Award. Hallberg received the award at the
2006 ALDE Conference Awards Banquet on Feb. 19 at the Hyatt
Regency, Columbus, Ohio.
The staff of the ELCA Foundation and Development Services
nominated Hallberg to receive the award, which is designed to
honor a deserving CEO or president serving the Lutheran church
through deed and example. Any executive of a church-related
agency or institution, or any Lutheran serving a non-Lutheran
organization, is eligible. Hallberg has served in the ELCA
churchwide organization since 1997.
