CHICAGO (ELCA) -- The Rev. James F. Mauney was elected to a third
six-year term as bishop of the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America (ELCA). Mauney, 58, was re-elected June 3 on the first
ballot for bishop at the synod assembly in Salem.
