CHICAGO (ELCA) -- The Rev. Martin D. Wells was elected to a third
six-year term as bishop of the Eastern Washington-Idaho Synod of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Wells, 62, was re-elected
June 4 on the first ballot for bishop at the synod assembly in Spokane,
Wash.
