CHICAGO (ELCA) - Thanks to the generous response of members of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, ELCA Disaster Response
distributed emergency grants totaling $71,000 in the wake of Hurricane
Irene. The hurricane impacted a number of U.S. states as it steamrolled
from Puerto Rico to the border of Canada.
