For well over a century, March 8 has marked International Women’s Day, celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The 2022 theme for International Women’s Day is “Break the Bias.” During this event, Bishop Eaton and a panel of women leaders share how the ELCA works for gender justice and equality around the world, breaking down societal biases by investing in women from all walks of life. In honor of International Women’s Day, this event benefitted the International Women Leaders program, which provides scholarships and training to established and emerging women leaders from our global companion churches.
