"Doing a Sankofa Move": Creating a "Clearing" of Presence and Community

This workshop will provide participants with an understanding of the work of the newly forming Sankofa Theological Center for African Studies.
The workshop will recognize and hear from those who have come before, African ascended elders who, in a healing circle, will share wisdom about their experience of navigating theological education. The workshop will give participants an opportunity to hear from those rostered leaders whose education and ministry were formed by their experiences with the Lutheran Theological Center in Atlanta.
Because voices from the community are critical for raising up new leadership, this workshop will seek the community’s wisdom in shaping the work of the Sankofa Theological Center for African Studies.
