Charbel Zgheib

The Rev. Charbel Zgheib is pastor of Salam Arabic Lutheran Church in New York, N.Y., and founder of Salam Radio Station, the first Arabic online ecumenical radio platform. Born and raised in Lebanon, he brings more than 20 years of ministry, humanitarian leadership and media experience across the Middle East and the United States. He holds advanced degrees in clinical social psychology and theology, shaping a ministry rooted in justice, compassion and human dignity. A mission developer within the ELCA, he is dedicated to building inclusive faith communities and providing trauma-informed care for vulnerable and frontline populations. Fluent in Arabic, English and French, he blends spiritual depth with global cultural insight in every dimension of his work.
