Join us on a Donor Immersion Trip to Southern Africa from April 13-23, 2026, to see firsthand the impact of your generosity! On our journey, participants will visit companion ministries in South Africa and Zimbabwe focused on HIV/AIDS, gender justice, youth and women's empowerment, peacebuilding, sustainability and climate change. You will receive a newsletter twice a year with updates from the directors of Service and Justice, Christian Community and Leadership and ELCA Where Needed Most. You also have access to this website, where you can find resources, information about special events and more stories about the ministries you support.

More than 85% of gifts supports program work, with less than 15% for fundraising and administration. Our longstanding partnerships across the United States and around the world help us deliver excellent results with modest administrative costs. Gifts designated for a specific disaster through Lutheran Disaster Response, such as tornadoes, hurricane response or wildfires, are used 100% for that disaster.
