U.S. Severe Storms

U.S. Severe Storm Banner

Severe storms that rip through several states are increasingly common in the United States. Across the country, Lutheran Disaster Response supports communities as they recover from these devastating outbreaks. Lutheran Disaster Response provides support for long-term recovery, for emotional and spiritual care, and for educational training of synods and partners in affected regions.

Our response:
Lutheran Disaster Response works with ELCA synods, congregations and local organizations to assess needs and support response efforts. Relief efforts include meeting short-term needs such as supplying water, food and generators to those in need and opening their doors to serve as shelters. Long-term recovery may include repairing water-damaged homes, disaster case management and supporting vulnerable populations.

What you can do:
Pray
Please pray for the communities impacted by severe storms. May God's healing presence give them peace and hope in their time of need. Pray that God will deliver comfort to those who mourn and strength to those who are working diligently to care for affected communities.

Give
Your gifts to Lutheran Disaster Response equip us to respond to communities affected by severe storms and related disasters. These gifts also empower us to respond to disasters whenever and wherever they strike. Gifts to “U.S. Severe Storms” will be used in full (100%) to assist those affected by severe storms.
