Todd Hildreth studied jazz performance at Bellarmine University, graduating in 1989. He has made his living in Louisville, Ky., as a freelance jazz, commercial and liturgical musician.

He has toured both the United States and Europe with various ensembles, playing at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City as well as the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. He has performed with artists such as Aretha Franklin and recorded with Norah Jones. He is currently the music director at Ascension Lutheran Church in Louisville, Ky., and is on the jazz faculty at Bellarmine University
