Many ELCA faith communities are actively seeking ways to deepen and expand the holy work of welcome, inclusion and celebration of God’s beloveds who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. The Reconciling in Christ journey has provided a structure for that work in Lutheran contexts for over 50 years. Rostered leaders — pastors and deacons — are a vital part of the support system for that journey. This workshop provides basic information about the RIC journey and how to support their faith communities at every step.
