Did you know the ELCA provides online discernment groups? Are you curious about what they’re like and how they work? Maybe you’d even like to become a mentor? If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.
Launched in the summer of 2024, these groups serve as a place for anyone who might be discerning a call to ministry to begin their exploration. Let’s be honest: some candidates know exactly where to go, but we believe that many don’t. It can feel scary to say out loud to someone, “You know, I’ve been thinking….”
We hope to create a space for people to discern together and feel less alone. We want those connected to the ELCA to know that people in all kinds of life situations across our church are wondering, “What does God have in store for me next?”
