Weaving Diakonia Into Your Ministry

The ministry of diakonia bridges the church and world and helps us weave our faith into daily life. This workshop will unpack the ministry of diakonia and specify ways we can not only serve our neighbors but also work to transform unjust systems. We will discuss ways to educate and equip congregations and other agencies to carry out our baptismal call to “work for peace and justice in all the earth.” This workshop will be led by Adrainne Gray, executive director of the Lutheran Diaconal Association, and Sister Dottie Almoney, directing deaconess of the Deaconess Community of the ELCA.
